Academic study at Northeastern's College of Professional Studies offers the best opportunities for scholarship, career advancement, small learning environments and hands-on experience.
At the College of Professional Studies, our academic programs for working professionals and recent college graduates are designed to reflect the diversity of our students' backgrounds and career goals. We have developed our undergraduate and graduate programs in areas that correspond to thriving modern industries such as healthcare, education, business, creative practice and information technology.
While many of our students seek the traditional classroom experience, many others need flexibility in where and when they can take courses. This is why we have built a national reputation for online and hybrid courses and schedules that complement the work day, with courses in the early evenings and on weekends. We also offer variety in course locations, with four convenient university campuses in and around Boston.
We also have a rich tradition of connecting work to learning. This emphasis of workplace connections is the hallmark of our academic programs for working professionals and many of our part-time and full-time undergraduate and graduate students find the rigors of academic life made easier with access to not only the services and resources of Northeastern's comprehensive library system, but also access to public and university libraries throughout Boston. Simply said, our university is student centered and structured for rigors of part-time and full-time education.
Whether it is graduation at Matthews Arena, the Beanpot hockey game or just dinner after class at the Curry Student Center, our students enjoy the best that the university has to offer. Our graduates leave Northeastern prepared to make a difference in their fields and the world. We are proud of our traditions and our growing reputations as a place of academic excellence. I hope you will join us to pursue your academic study. More than 180,000 alumni already have.
Best,
Christopher E. Hopey, Ph.D.,
Vice President and Dean
