The Principal Residency Network (PRN)
The Greater Boston Principal Residency Network is an apprenticeship-based principal preparation and licensure program for aspiring leaders of small schools. The program centers on a rigorous field experience, guided by exceptional practitioners, within the context of schools that have demonstrated significant commitment to small size and school redesign. The PRN is a collaboration of the Center for Collaborative Education, Northeastern University and the Fenway Institute for Urban School Renewal. Northeastern University endorses the candidate for licensure.
All credits earned in this licensure program are applicable to the Master of Education Degree.

The Massachusetts Elementary School Principal Association (MESPA)
In conjunction with Northeastern University, MESPA offers a principal preparation program leading to licensure at the elementary or secondary levels. This program is intended for educators as well as for those whose work experience is outside the field of education. The MESPA program involves participants in individual study, discussions, class presentations and practical field work related to current research, practitioners' insights and successful practices. This program meets the Massachusetts DOE requirements and competencies, including demonstration of proficiency in addressing the Professional Standards for Administrators. MESPA endorses the candidate for licensure.
