The Northeastern University School Health Institute, in collaboration with the
Massachusetts Department of Public Health School Health Unit, will coordinate
and provide quality, professional education programs to enhance school nursing
practice throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. These offerings will provide
information allowing school nurses and other school health professionals to manage
the increasingly complex health, medical, behavioral and psycho-social issues
facing our multi-cultural school-aged population.
Through our programming, we will:
- Offer innovative educational and leadership opportunities for school nurses to
expand their ability to deliver integrated, collaborative student health services
- Offer innovative educational and leadership opportunities for school nurses to
expand their ability to deliver integrated, collaborative student health services
- Offer programs that allow school nurses to earn continuing education credits
(nursing contact hours) and/or Professional Development Points (PDPs) to fulfill
state nursing licensure and DOE certification requirements
- Provide varied programming to meet the professional development needs of school
health professionals as indicated by an annual school nurse educational needs
assessment

Please bring a check or PO to the event made out to Northeastern University.

Always bring a sweater....temperature in conference rooms varies greatly!Conference
rooms tend to be cooler rather than warmer.

We do have attendees with allergies...not wearing perfume is helpful at conferences
since we are in one room together.

Programs start promptly, please be on time. We always end on time or a little
early, please plan to stay for the whole time as a courtesy to the speakers.
