Requirements:
Students who wish to apply for the Study Abroad Program at Northeastern must
complete the Application Form and Declaration of Finances. They must also submit a TOEFL score (if available), a one-two page essay and
a tuition deposit of $250.
We recommend that students who join the program have a TOEFL Score of at least
173/500 or better.

Tuition Fees:
Student tuition fees are based on the courses that students take each module.
Textbook and living expenses are not included. Please refer to the Declaration of Finance form for estimated figures related to living expenses and costs for books. Students
will receive tuition bills for each module approximately three weeks after the
beginning of each module. Students who can not complete the entire program because
of a change in their plans will not be charged for the courses which they do not
take. This program will run for eleven months. Students in the Study Abroad Program
may begin in September or January and finish eleven months later. They may spend
their remaining time in the United States on independent travel.
Housing:
The English Language Center will provide information to successful applicants
about the procedures for reserving dormitory accommodations. The English Language
Center can also provide information about homestays with American families on
request.
Insurance
Students at the English Language Center are entitled to free use of the University
Health Center. They are also required to have a comprehensive Medical Insurance
Plan in the event of emergency medical needs or hospitalization. Students may
decide to use their own insurance policy. They must provide proof of this policy
when they register. For more information about health insurance for international

Note:
This is a full time program. Students will be issued an I-20 for the time that
they are enrolled. |
